Rikash shook his head, this time truthfully. No, it wasn't her fault he was a wimp. He finally looked back at her, his face composed once more. He shrugged, saying there was nothing to worry about. Of course, that wasn't true but what else could he say? Sorry Raven, I have nervous break downs but it's okay because they don't last long, now how about pizza. Feh, yea right.
Instead he hid behind impassive features and bland looks.

Raven put her hand on his shoulder....
Raven: I wish I knew your name....It'll be a lot easier than saying.."Hey you." all the time....Huh? Maybe things are better left unsaid any way.....
She smiled at him.....

Rikash suddenly rolled his eyes. Hadn't they already done this? He took out the driver's card again and handed it to her a second time, this time pointing to the name. Rikash, it read. No last name, no middle name. Just Rikash. He took the card back after a moment and tucked it away, waiting.
He had been unable to bear keeping his Uncle's last name and had never gotten a new one. So all he had was one name. Rikash. It suited him. It was as pathetic and insignificant as he was.

Raven slapped her head!!! She had forgotten that he had already told her his name.....
Raven: I'm such a jerk! Sorry...so much has happened since then.....See how well I handle myself on my own?

Rikash smiled and patted her arm sympathetically. But it was more friendly than the sadness others had been treating her with. The boy looked at Raven, new look and all, for a long time.
At last he made a decision and turned, trotting off. After a second he turned back and sighed. Motioning this time for her to follow, he turned and kept moving, weaving between the streets.

Raven simply gave him a smile back...And drifted slightly off the ground and followed him as she glidded along the way......

Arriving at a building after half a mile, Rikash checked his watch and walked in. Inside stood a man in a suit. "Rikash I presume? Dylan told me you would be here at four and you're on the dot." Rikash raised an eyebrow and shrugged. The man began getting flustered. "Ah yes. I forgot that you... well... I mean. I was sorry to hear about your lose." Rikash this time glared. The man fussed away, grabbing a key. "Your new apartment is on the third floor." Rikash nodded and waved Raven forward, heading for the stairs.

Raven followed Rikash up the stairs....She was happy now that had finally made a new friend. Deep inside she didn't wanna be alone....Eventually she would have to see her sister again...And her other friends and family members....But now was all that mattered as she followed Rikash

Opening the door, Rikash's face fell. It was made up to look like his old room with Dylan. With a scowl, Rikash twisted his hand rather violently. Furniture jumped to attention, rearranging itself and changing color until he was satisfied. It also seemed the room was bigger than it looked from outside.
Rikash nodded and grinned. That was better. Crossing the stone tiled floor, he opened the fridge. A slight forwn crossed his face and he tapped the fridge pointedly. With what seemed almost like a sighing noise, the fridge filled with food. Grabbing a soda, Rikash tossed another to Raven and gestured around to ask ehr what she thought.

Raven smiled as she saw that he liked to redecorate the way she did most of the time......
Raven: Thanks for the soda....It's really nice in here now...But there's only one bed....

Rikash shrugged and a blanket and pillow appeared on the couch. He could have just as easily made a second bed but he was too lazy. Tossing his bag on the couch, he pointed to her then the bed and smiled. He didn't sleep that much anyway, so she should get the real bed. Beside, he had power to spare if he decided to make himself a bed. She seemed tired.
With a second jab of his finger, he ordered her to sleep. She needed rest, even an eleven year old could see that.

Raven: Stay awake til I fall asleep...Please...My nightmares scare me half to death.....
She said that as she crawled into the bed...and he tucked the blankets on top of her .....

Rikash nodded. He promised. He understood nightmares. Even though long ago he had refused to have them, he remembered the terrors that had swamped him before he started shutting down his emotions. This was the sort of night he would have had a nightmare on. But that was why he stayed up. Stay awake until you're too tired to dream.
It was like the code he worked by.

Raven smiled as she fell asleep in the warm bed. She was tired. But she knew she was safer away from her friends & family. She missed them so much it hurt inside...It would probably be too late for her to aplogize to them....But they what she was....And so did Rikash. He seemed to understand her...Even though she had just met him only today....She coul a certain bond growing between them.....She finally drifted off to sleep......

Rikash watched Raven for a long time, thinking. At last he felt his own eyes close. Darkness wrapped in around him, drawing him back from the room. You think you can escape by acting happy? You think you could escape my warth?! A man grabbed him. A Bullet wound was in his chest and his face was half rotted. Rikash twisted away. What's wrong Rikash. Can't look at your own Uncle any more? I thought you didn't care. That this was a new time in your life. Move on and forget. Go on Rikash. Forget me. Let's see you try. It was a dream of course, but to Rikash, it was real. In the real world, the boy whimpered and pulled himself back into the couch, as if trying to hide under blankets. Forget me Rikash. Forget that I gave my life because you screwed up. Forget that the men who killed me let you live. Was it because you weren't worth killing. You would never pose a threat to them. Pathetic stupid child. Rikash wanted to speak, to tell him to shut up. At last he screamed out in his mind, "Go to hell! You aren't my Uncle." The man just laughed. Stupid boy. I'm already there. You sent me there. Come. Come join me Rikash. Come. In the real couch, the boy made a choking sob, covering his head with his hands, trembling. He just wanted it to leave him alone. He just wanted to forget.
